Re- registering endpoints. You can use the Re- register option to deregister the endpoint from FortiClient EMS and to register to a FortiGate instead. The specific FortiGate that the endpoint registers to is determined by the endpoint’s remembered Telemetry gateway lists or default gateway.

We have remote clients who receive endpoint management server (ems) is actively blocking this forticlient from registering from the Forticlient (6.2.6) when they try to register to our EMS server. 1/23/2013 · My usual methodology is to install forticlient , set up the VPN settings, go onto EMS and enable management (disabled previously on desktops) and register forticlient with EMS using the IP address. This has been working fine until one particular machine doesn’t like it for some reason. In EMS , the entry for this desktop is marked as uninstalled.

Currently evaluating FortiClient EMS and also wondering if we should place it in the DMZ to have the telemetry connection. One of the concerns is that what will stop a bad actor from joining our EMS server as a client and does that expose any info that could be used as an attack vector?
